Hi, I’m Melanie!
Crescent Cottage Blooms is a floral design business out of Norwalk CT that has evolved from a daydream started in late 2020. Working full-time as a CPA in the accounting industry, I was searching for a way to put my creative spirit into the world.
Being a lifetime crafter, I’ve experimented with endless mediums - from paint to woodworking to textiles. I’ve always found one common denominator in them all and that is my strongest motivation and work comes from the joy of delivering my art to others. This combined with my love of gardening and flowers set the stage for what Crescent Cottage Blooms has, and continues to, become.
I understand the privilege of executing a bride’s vision or providing a custom install for a local business entryway. And I am invested in the process from the start. I offer the best of both worlds using the right side of my brain to build unique, bespoke creations & the left to calculate the best way to make the most of your budget (shameless Excel nerd here!)
Outside of floral design, you can find me spending time at the park with my amazing partner TJ and our rescue dog, or inside with my adorable kitties. I also volunteer as an usher at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY (anything Grateful Dead or Jerry Garcia is my forever soundtrack)! And of course, gardening every season!
